I have always had an intense love of design. Creating beautiful environments takes me to my “happy place”. At school, I was told to “spend less time decorating and more time working”, so I guess I have always had the ingrained desire to make my surroundings beautiful.

My love of working with interiors and styling began with a strong foundation working for David Jones in visual merchandising. For several years I learned the fine art of placement and making pieces, products and apparel come alive…

From there the call of London beckoned. My time in England had me honing my skills working and training within many different fields. Working in Harrods for a British fine Jewellery company De Vroomen Design, who’s collection of individual and bespoke pieces, once again had me surrounded by beauty. Visual merchandising for Harrods, Burberry and Boodles; I also completed courses in Millinery, Public Relations and a diploma in Retail Gemmology.

From Harrods my move to Ralph Lauren was a natural progression. Commencing as the Antiques Sales manager, I was then promoted to also become the Buyer for both the Antiques and Home Collection Departments for London and Paris. This was the cementing of my career path… to create environments, sanctuaries and beautiful spaces for others.

By demand I also privately styled clients homes around London, sourcing a mixture of antique and new pieces to combine with existing items to create interiors perfect for them.

From Ralph Lauren, I returned to Australia, settling in Perth. My career continuing in both visual merchandising and interiors styling; whilst also starting a family…

I spent several years with an interiors and homeware company, as their in-house stylist, while additionally working with clients in their homes on a freelance basis. Both on homes being staged for sale and forever homes…

Spending several years as the interiors stylist and visual merchandiser for Wall Candy Wallpaper; I furthered my skills being immersed in the world of wallpaper and a wonderful collection of vintage. Again, working in clients homes, to help them create spaces of beauty for them.

I remained tied to the fine jewellery and antiques world, from a Visual Merchandising capacity, working for many years on visuals for Ecali Fine Jewellery, Kailis Pearls and Atlas Pearls and Perfumes.

Steven Sher Antiques and Fine Jewellery, was my final project in Western Australia, rebranding, visual merchandising and creating a new interior for their Nedlands store.

Time to come home…now back in Brisbane and doing what I love; working to create dreams for clients, helping them achieve an interior space that is their sanctuary… their “happy place”.
